On the first and second weekends of Advent, the Silent Night History Plays are performed in Oberndorf-Laufen. After an introduction to the historical background given in front of the Memorial Chapel, the group sets off on a lanternlight hike to the Salzachhalle in Laufen. There, the history play is performed, recounting how the song Silent Night was born.
